ingenious linking of the Olympics to the circus there! I like that you set this in the BL-verse. I don't really know much about it, but the world makes sense. I was really curious about poor Wufei and his possible entanglement with this Mr. Chang. Plus letting Nichol and Trowa have their military identities through different means. And Catherine was adorable. I liked all the messages being slipped around and the nice face-to-face moment between Nichol and Balalaika.

He looked like a tourist in khaki pants and a neatly pressed and very colorful Hawaiian print shirt.

*likes* (oh wait, that's facebook... LOL!

Well, the history of most characters in Black Lagoon is only ever vaguely mentioned and you sort of have to pull what you can from the brief glimpses. One of the episodes has a flashback to a fourteen or thirteen Balalaika talking to someone in a military uniform who might be an uncle or family friend telling her if she wants to bring honor back to her family's name she should aim for the olympics in one of the rifle shooting categories (or all of them). But by the time the Olympics roll around again the war in Afganistan is breaking out, and is being boycotted by Russia. So if Nichol is her brother it makes sense to me that maybe he would probably be trying for the Olympics as well in some way ( ... )

Yay, I finally started stalking you on LJ. *lol*

Good story, and a very clever tie together for the characters.

I'm amused that Nichol is dressed like Revy keeps trying to dress Rock in.

Oh good. When you stalk me on LJ or Archive of Our Own you won't miss any fics I decided I can't or shouldn't post of ff.net just. Having had fics pulled over on ff.net before I don't take any chances. If you have the time you should consider reading through the monstrosity of The Numbers, and the less daunting Numbers Alternates. They're super indulgent for Jilly and I but... sometimes the super indulgent makes for good reading.

As for Nichol dressing the way Revy tries to get Rock to dress...well... technically Nichol is a tourist. I think if Balalaika had agreed to allowing Nichol join Hotel Moscow he'd probably start dressing in suits.

Glad you enjoyed this. Happy reading and writing!

Oh wait here's a question for you do you think Rico (the young preist at The Rip-off Church) looks a little like a young Nichol? I was watching the Greenback Jane spisodes last night again and got this, "Huh...interesting. Could be," moment.
