Okay now that's the sort of big sister Nichol needs. One who'll watch out for him but absolutely makes him shake in his boots at the same time. *loves* She's officially part of Numbers as far as I'm concerned.

Moreover, what fun to have it set back in the Eleven's safecracker days, with Aretha (!!) and when Nichol thought Trowa was his peer.

It took me a little while to piece it together, but if Balalaika took down White Fang that early on then it'd be nearly impossible for them to try recruiting Three by shooting dear Danya. You fixed it for them. yay!

My head-Nichol says that he likes it better when you write him. haha.

As absolutely cold as Balalaika can be in the show, and she definately has her moments, she's also very loyal to the people she cares about. Not that she would use the word care. She'd probably say something like it being her duty as a captain.

Your head-Nichol should know better.

You definitely made her very interesting in this! Which can be tricky, blending series like that.

My head-Trowa says not to expect a Nichol to see much past the 'aha' of initial revelation...

On a second reading, so many lovely little details. There was snow stained red like a painting he had done in pre-school. And pinching Trowa's very pinch-able cheeks. And Balalaika's team, Boris seems really interesting.

Boris is really cool. A good right hand man for Balalaika, and it wouldn't surprise me if he had a bit of a thing for her. Not that Balalaika would ever fraternize. She's too old school for that.

I love the look on Little Nichol's Danya's face. Her hands a little wonky there. But the hair is short-ish enough. I mean it's definately shorter than it is when she's older (and in cannon Black Lagoon). Yay for unexpected fan art!

Wow, this is excellent. I love how this is structured, the additional backstory, the dialogue. The Numbersverse has really evolved into a compelling universe of fiction.
