Ok, I promise to read (and comment upon) this whole post soon, but two things:

1. What is the context for this interview? Is it a 'net meme? Part of a job/school application? Did you make them up?

2. I have misplaced your e-mail address, and need to get you added to the Zombie list. E-mail me please.

I am mentoring one of my student's (from the summer) senior paper. Her topic has to do something with mathematics and the real world. As part of the process, she had to get a mentor in the field (ie me) to supervise her work and and also interview that person. She emailed me the questions and I sat down one night and replied.

And for some reason, the emails I send you keep bouncing back...

Nice interview :) Thanks!

The only point I cannot agree with is the relation computation/mathematics ~ pebble/Earth...

There is so much about computation! And I should mention that Mr.Turing has never been able (and nobody ever would) to construct the Machine, since one of the elements of it is an infinite strip, which apparently doesn't exist. (Though I might be wrong and there is an upgrade of the concept which contains only finite parts, but I doubt it).
