It has been really, really remarkable reading your accounts of her training and learning just how . . . well, "smart" isn't the right word. But I have a new respect for some dogs' ability to put things together to make sense, to really learn, and how amazing that kind of intelligence guiding an animal with such good senses really is. It is really remarkable to me, to see how she is 'testing' to see what is her job and what is not... this morning my alarm went off and she was testing, trying to make me get up from her crate- and when Jim came to enforce it, he just let her out instead of doing it... and she REALLY thought about it- she looked to him like 'well make him get up!' cause he usually does. ...but he pointed, like 'no, you do it'... and she did. She is on her way to learning to get me the heck out of bed before appointments! YAY! It is so facinating to watch her learning it!
