Setting/Location; Port Avarita, New Utopia.
Date & Time; Day Three, about 9AM.
Warnings; None.
Briefing; Nue insists Nate visit NU. Investigation of rumors concerning Louis Harrowgate. Probably a lot of mother henning, too.

For the first time in a very long while, Nue had been completely unable to show up early somewhere. It was all part of a long list of rules that she tried to enforce on herself, and making sure to be early to every appointment she made was pretty high up on that list. However, there had been several morning meetings between officials and other people who thought they were every bit as important to the country as she was (which obviously wasn't true). They were all extremely arrogant and obnoxious, and today she didn't have a silver of patience for any of them.

After all! Today was her day to spend time with Nathaniel and find his father, both of which were extremely important to her. It'd been so long since she had last gotten to see him in person, plus she couldn't help but want to try to help him at in any way possible. What with James constantly breathing down his neck and all. Poor boy.

Reaching the designated location, Nue lifted a hand to wave over towards Nate. "Did you wait long?"

Nate was content to wait, amusing himself by scuffing the heel of his shoe against the uncovered dirt of the street. He could have run off and done his own searching, true, but he hadn't been in New Utopia for so long and it felt a little presumptuous to just do as he pleased like that. Besides, Nue would have a conniption if she arrived and he was nowhere to be found. It was bad enough that his father had disappeared for no reason.

Her voice rang out soon enough and he glanced up, raising an arm and returning the wave with a short one of his own before approaching. His head shook in response to her question. "No, not long."

Glancing over the boy whom she thought so highly of, Nue couldn't even begin to resist the smile that spread across her face. "Look at you! You've grown so much since I last saw you. You're so big now!" she exclaimed excitedly, already walking towards him in order to wrap her arms tightly around him in a nice big hug. He still felt so small to her though, even now as she all but suffocated him with her chest. He had been so much tinier before, but now he was really starting to look like a man and so much like his father! It warmed her heart.

Oh, he must think of her as something like a troubling aunt, which would actually be pretty irritating if true. Although, she supposed it was a lot better than some other things he could have deemed her as.

"Nate, I have heard rumour of your father making business deals with some rather questionable characters here. On James' orders. I've prepared a list of all the possible suspects for us to go through," she explained to him after finally releasing him from her hugging. "It's not too long ( ... )

"I haven't really," he insisted, unable to stop himself from grinning shyly while she fussed and more or less crushed him in a hug. The embrace was returned, of course, but that didn't mean he still couldn't (halfheartedly) protest by complaining, "Nue! You'll stunt my growth if you hold me too tightly." Nearly grown and he was still spouting off wild stories. Who knew where he got that from ( ... )
