Fashionably late was what Reno liked to call it; yes, the mischievous redhead knew he was running a little behind schedule, but he also knew that Tyki would hardly up and leave without him ... If not because the pair seemed to have some kind of mutual 'like' for each other, then because he knew that he'd have Reno's incessant kicked puppy whining to deal with for the next day or so if he did. After all, he could be quite the nuisance when he wanted to be, although he'd thankfully only had to play that card once or twice since they'd first met ( ... )

And the threat of incessant whining, of course, was what kept Tyki where he was, hugging onto the standard-issue uniform jacket that only barely provided shelter from the chill of the evening. (At least, he had to reason, he wasn't nearly-naked. Just because it was bad didn't mean it couldn't be worse) His toes were numb through the unpolished black boots.

The familiar face rounding the corner relieved him a little, though, because it meant he could actually move around a bit instead of sitting there, the cold biting in wherever it could manage.

"Hey now, I think that's my line," Tyki muttered in return, but the smirk he offered up contrasted his exasperated tone. Leaning his weight back onto his own legs and straightening up, he took a meandering step closer. "Same place as always, unless you've managed to find something new and exciting. Still, there's really only one way to warm up when the weather's like this, you know?"

And he didn't mean cozying up by the fire. But if it wasn't obvious, he took another couple slow, heavy ( ... )
