for reals. first you go away for nine million years, then you post such long posts that someone sneakily reading at work can't possibly read the whole thing.
this is what i learned from your post: PD James is a lady?! whoa. I always imagined a Tim Russert looking dude.
also, I wanted to slap the taste out of Caitlin's mouth. but i did like the art school stuff.

I misses you too! Hey, by any chance, have you read ORDINARY GHOSTS yet? If so, do you remember the name of the best friend of the narrator (Emil)?
My bestie moved to the Bay Area. She's a hottie. You two should hook up. In some fashion. I will send her into the store even though she knows next to nothing and cares less about YA lit. She's awesomely supercool. Wait, which store again? :-) (This also means I will visit and you will see my amazing un-foxyness. Oh well.)

saw your list of books at the top, of which i typically know none since YA is not my main genre, and saw sword of shannara.. had a minor brain skip while i tried connecting my deeply buried knowledge of the book with your more typical list of fare (disconnect solved, of course, by your commentary). i've been meaning to go back and read watership down again... i read it so long ago and just remember finding it very complex and somewhat confusing. kid mind, i guess. i want to try it again with my more grown up mind. it really is amazing how those years can completely change perspective on a lot of books.
be well!

Yes, reread WD. You will find it so much better than you did when you read it as a young one.
