Actually, there are a lot of fans who do not care for the Lydia developments much. And who have little patience, especially now, for Darcy-less episodes :(

Ugh, fandom. Typical. I could make a comment about fans not being as interested in the portions of the story that don't include The Guy, but I'd be preaching to the choir. :-)
