Not a weird question at all, but a complicated one, as I feel the quality of the gore in something like Hostel - where it's so intimate and sadistic - makes it very different from the gore here, regardless of the quantity.

But given your references, I'd say this movie is about a 3. And the quality/style of it is more along the lines of Evil Dead 2 or Shaun of the Dead. (though not, in my opinion, quite as gory as either of those).

Yesssss, this movie! I've seen it twice now and will probably score a few more viewings through dragging other people to it.

I love Fran Kranz. He's excellent.
