Life, HP, and stuff

Workin' for a Livin'Have been working like a dog this past week. I don't know if I mentioned that one of the law firms I work at regularly has brought me on as a perma-temp. I haven't mentioned much personal stuff lately, but I can't tell you what a welcome difference it is to know how the bills will be getting paid for the foreseeable future. I ( Read more... )

I am so behind on MRHP, it's not funny. Behind for me means reading all of the comments in the entries as well as the review. I'm being stubborn and won't read the review until I've read the chapter so yeah, lots of reading to do this weekend. (Work KILLED me this week!)

Speaking of HP, I am very disappointed in you, flist, that I had to hear about the forthcoming full trailer for Deathly Hallows, Part I (going live this Wednesday!) from comingsoon.net on my Google feed. Are we a fandom or not?! :P

But don't you follow fandom tweets on Twitter? That's how I found out. The "big" fandom sites posted the news plus I think I also heard from ONTD (I get HP posts notifications.) I'm curious as to how this trailer will differ from all the others we've seen so far. I'm excited but not (that sounds strange, I know) because I almost feel trailered-out. I *get* the gist of what pt. 1 will be about, even had I not read the book, but I know I'll be excited in the end to see it. Still waiting to actually see it on the big screen.

I follow @leaky, but I tend to skim their tweets, because they tend to repeat a lot. Also, I'm usually asleep in the heaviest updating times, so I probably don't catch everything. And I never check ONTD unless someone specifically links something.

I guess mostly I'm just surprised I didn't see anything on my flist about it.

I saw "The Town" today, and there was a trailer for "Catfish" attached to it - definitely sounds intriguing.

I'll definitely be there at midnight for the last one - in the shadow of Hogwarts itself, in fact. Well, the one in Florida.

Can't wait!! It's going to be amazing seeing everyone again, even if it will be somewhat of a bittersweet event. I won't be at the midnight release of DH1, either, but I will be first in line that weekend, for sure.

I'm also seriously considering dipping down to D.C. for Jon Stewart's and Stephen Colbert's rally(ies).

Let me know if you do!

Looks like I can't. :( It starts at noon and I'll be at work until 8:30 that morning. I'd never make it in time. Ah well. It was kind of a long shot.
