There's curiously little Mal/Inara in the Firefly fandom or from what I've seen. I think of all the ship that are hinted at in the shows, Simon/Kaylee is the most popular one. But all in all, it's the slash and the crazy space incest that appears to be the most popluar amongst those who write Firefly fanfiction.

"Sorcery and Cecelia" is great, but "The Grand Tour" is not. I still recommend it, because yay, sequel! and it's very decent, but not quite as good.

I have yet to read a bad Hayer, so I'm sure you're safe with "The Grand Sophy."
