Thoughts inspired by Fever Pitch

I haven't been to see a romantic comedy in a while. Most of them are just not that interesting, with a few glaring exceptions. But Fever Pitch is genuinely good. For one thing, it doesn't fall into the trite "will-they-or-won't-they" formula. The two characters get together early on, and the film explores their relationship from there. Ooo... nice to hear a review. :) This is one I'm interested in seeing. The original was one of the main reasons I signed up for Netflix. I mean, Colin Firth and soccer? It was very good, though parts dragged a bit.

Anyway, just seeing them film a bit of this one at the end of the World Series looked like it had definite possibility. Can't wait to see it!

I just saw this today! What a coincidence!

I liked it as well. Although some of Fallon's comic lines fell flat, it was still funny overall. I could totally identify with the whole obsession thing. Juxtapose baseball with Harry Potter. If new JKR news comes out, I'll pretty much drop everything to check it out. When July comes, during the 16th and the days following, HBP will come with me everywhere. I'll hardly talk sleep or eat until I finish it, and when I do, I'll still take it with me everywhere, because I will be chronically re-reading this thing.

It was so refreshing to see a movie that actually dealt with a relationship instead of asking "Gee, I wonder if the two people on the poster are going to end up together?"

Yes, that does get a little monotonous after a while. This movie did have the obligatory suspense at the end. I loved it when Lindsey ran out onto the field, that made me laugh the hardest out of the whole movie.

Also, Fallon is quite adorable.

You need to see the original with Colin Firth. Of course it's based in England - and his obsession with Arsenal. I haven't seen the new one yet -- but based on your review will netflix it!
