Slay the Engineer

Saturday at work was less than memorable. I'm slowly becoming the can-do jackrabbit there. A lot of other tutors are seriously slipping in their paperwork which is seriously frustrating for the rest of us. On my way home, I stopped off at LM's, visited with S... and overstayed my welcome a bit. Oh well. There will be other times and places to ( Read more... )

What happened there? I know mgmt there can get a little persnickety... but they seem mostly benign.

I got home just in time to get two rejection emails. One from Apple (FUCK!) ...

You.... uh.... didn't happen to be around Apple HQ tonight ... uh.... were you? ;) See this.

I still want to do a field trip [to SC munch] some Monday.

I'm game. It's not a drive I'd make just for myself, but if I've done it with S before and it was fun.

He was very persnickety that day.

Nope. Wasn't me. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Oh, oh, I want a ride.

S'es, I wouldn't want to distract you from driving. Or you could just tie me up and throw me in the trunk. 8)

*hugs*

Was the apple rejection from Valley Fair? Didn't two stores call you back?

The rejection was from Valley Fair and Oakridge. I did get a call from the Los Gatos store. I might have saved the message. Is it proper to call them now though?

I would totally do it. I wouldn't mention unless asked directly that you weren't hired at Valley Fair or Oakridge but I think it would still be ok to give them a call and do an interview if they're still hiring.

"I kept the sobs at bay...barely. I'm tired of being wired this way and having such delicate triggers."

You know with all you are dealing with you are doing remarkably well. At least with all I can glean from your posts that you are dealing with. I too suffer from cry-itis but after so many years of disconnect from my emotions I welcome it for what it is and just let myself cry and try to not beat myself up about it. As someone else says: that is "HIS" job. lol

Keep your chin up and let the tears fall when needed and in a safe spot to do so. Typically just like the catharsis of other things, tears can let some steam off that pressure cooker that keeps on going and going and we don't want it to explode.

Take care,
chel
