I was planning on posting tomorrow while at work but in a bizarre turn of events, I've decided to post while at home!  I know, I know, it blows the mind.

I was watching the news as I tend to do and there was a segment on suicide bombers.  I got to thinking about how easily a life that took years upon years to mature and even more countless hours of ( Read more... )

You slipped something in my drinkkkkkk. And I was a little sleepy from the sun to begin with, and then the whole drinking and smoking thing happened and I couldn't stay awakzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... Then you'd poke me and I'd be good to go again for another 15-20 minutes!

That's the secret. Poke me to get what you want. Or something.

Interesting thought about the suicide bombers. I thought of it a little differently, though. Sure, it takes many years to mature a life like that, but the simple fact that the bombers are willing to sacrifice all of that infers that they must really care about their cause. It's the epitome of devotion.

I'm not saying suicide bombing is a good thing, but in a way you have to admire their spirit.

By the by, the font of the words in this comment box is awesome. I hope it carries over to the comment.

Yeah, I hear ya. Lots of different ways of looking at it. :) I just wish that culture didn't have such a strong acceptance of it just because someone else did it a while back. If I were Christian, I wouldn't want to be nailed to a cross and stabbed just because it happened to a major figure in that faith. Can't help but feel they're being brainwashed at such a young age that they grow to believe it's the right path in life and idolize those that have done it before them. Anything taken to the extreme typically isn't healthy, and they don't get any more extreme than that.

lol. Wish I knew how to control the fonts and whatnot. The defaults are doing me proud, though. :D

Thank you very much for the kind words. :) Your userpic is making me all homesick for arcades. I practically lived in front of Marvel Vs Capcom for a good number of months.

Finding a picture of me I like is one hell of a struggle.
Ditto. :P

& I'm sure working out wouldn't be so bad. I have lots of guy friends underweight who have managed it. They would just take a lot of protein shakes and eat more. x)

My brother is majoring in computer science he gets his BS this year. His part time job actually pays pretty good, I think he's at $20 a hour. He has also got 2 raises since working there, which is just damn lucky where we live.

PS - Hope all goes well with the dating site girl. ;)

I can't even imagine myself weighing more than I do now, but, I couldn't imagine a lot of things before that've come to pass. :) Just gotta be careful not to overdo it so I don't suddenly become insanely chubby.

Computers are definitely worth going back to school for since they're not going away anytime soon. Very exciting!

And thanks. I'll need all the luck I can get. It's been a year and a half since I've flirted with anyone so I've sort of forgotten how, although I keep hearing that I flirt without even trying to. lol Gets me into trouble sometimes.

Firstly...

I got to thinking about how easily a life that took years upon years to mature and even more countless hours of nurturing and caring by family and friends can be extinguished in a blink.

That's what I tell my dad when he just grunts to the news saying that 30 more people killed in Iraq like it's nothing.

Secondly...

I like your new look better too :] And cameras sometimes hate me as well. I usually make sure I'm not in pictures when people are taking them.

And lastly...

People are jerks sometime. I get used all the time because I have a reckroom that's highly convenient for parties. :P

It's crazy how numb people can become to hearing about things like that while families and friends are grieving their hearts out at the news of it. I've lost people I know in Iraq and it's a little heartbreaking that somewhere, people are just flipping through the channels are the news of it without even blinking.

I'm the same way. Can usually find me ducking behind people or taking the pictures myself. So much easier. ;)

How about I buy you some booze and you loan me your reckroom. That way, we can use each other and get something out of it for a change! Or maybe we could just call it a 'trade,' but where's the fun in that. :D

It's horrible. Especially since I'm a very emotionally intuned person and I feel very easily what other people do.

Done. ;]

I hear that. Sometimes seems like a curse being so empathetic while so much of the world gets away with such an amazing degree of apathy, doesn't it?
