ETA: I've decided to keep both of these prompt posts open permanently. This. This is brilliant. That moment when Raphael says Sam knows how to be a be good big brother was so beautifully scathing to Michael. The whole dialogue between them was great. I can easily envision Raphael becoming the caustic angel he is in canon because this war has torn his family apart, so no way would he give it Adam, too. Adam/Raphael is go great because they're both healers and snarky. The end was sweet and the prequel! OMG, THE PREQUEL! *sits patiently to wait for more*

Oh wow, I'm so sorry this is going to be brief because I'm just running into a meeting, but this was absolutely perfect. I loved Raphael's arguments, all of which were true. It's sad to think this is a Raphael we lost in canon because Raphael never stopped Michael. It makes sense that he'd fight Michael to keep his best healer where he could be of the most use, while also preventing the war from changing Adam. I liked their levity. I really liked the references to Sam and Adam's bond, to Sam's redeeming qualities as a big brother (zing, Michael).

This was the best lunchtime read. Thank you. <3
