Hey, guys.

So, after three months on crutches, I'm finally (slowly, very slowly) starting PT and such. This mostly involves, for the first couple of weeks, putting small amounts of weight on my bad foot whilst still using the crutches, and rubbing lotion into my foot several times a day. Slowly going down to only using one crutch, getting used to ( Read more... )

Hang in there!

I've been following your stories with a great deal of enthusiasm, and believe me, everything you write is great. You have nothing to worry about!

On a side note - I am not a doctor. However, I work at a doctor's office. My parents are doctors. My *grandparents* are doctors. And if there's one thing I've learned about injuries, if it hurts? There is no reason you should suffer unduly. If the pain is actually so bad that it's delibiating, you should talk with someone about it. Talk to your doctor, talk to a physical theraphist, talk to a pharmacist (don't talk to an internet service, though, they're all hacks).

There's no good reason why you should have to endure this.

That's - my opinion. Feel free to disregard it!

Thank you so much for your support, you have no idea how much it means to me! And thank you for the compliment, I'm glad that you like my writing! :)

My podiatrist warned me that the first couple of weeks would be very painful, but I don't know, it's worse than I expected. I'm trying to wait it out for a few days to see if it gets any better before I start calling, either my podiatrist or my primary care doc. Thank you for the advice and support, it's much appreciated!
