So the tour for When the Angels Make Contact ended last night at the Cohn, having kicked off a few weeks ago in Chester. I would be willing to bet it feels like a longer time ago to the musicians. you seem to have a pretty good memory, do you remember any of the lyrics from that song he performed? I loved it, hopefully he'll have it on an album some day...

All I can remember is disjointed lines like

"If you see my love around town
See that she's safe and sound"

and something about "the travelling man who lets her down."

I agree it was a really pretty song and I'd love to hear it again.

Ah. I missed what he was saying in the intro and thought that song was a cover... Glad to hear it is his own, but can't imagine why he wouldn't have recorded it. I thought it was fantastic.
Also thought the accoustic version of Cocaine Cowgirl was wonderful. It was a different song altogether.

I'm pretty sure he said it was his, and I wondered why it seemed to have gotten abandoned as well. Possibly it just didn't fit in with the El Torpedo thing that developed soon after.

I mean, it wasn't that much like "Girl From the North Country"... (
