I know nothing about this band and can't look them up right now (at work). Is the fact that they are playing the Mod Club in TO reflective of their music, or is it just a venue?

I have no idea what kind of bands usually play the Mod Club, so I couldn't tell you. I assumed it was just a venue?

There are Mod Clubs (or at least "Mod Club nights") in cities across the country. I used to go to the one in Montreal! The music tends to be the stuff I'm into now - Northern Soul and Motown - mixed in with certain types of white people music of that era too (The Kinks and The Who are probably the most famous bands that clearly defined themselves as "mod").

I'm familiar with mod as the British fashion/cultural movement in the sixties (was a Who fan as a teenager) but I don't know if the club itself has anything to do with it. Gloryhound started out as kind of a rootsy, Band-influenced group and have lately gotten louder and more into the punk end of things.
