Okay, firstly what made my head hurt about this was the fact that in Polaris and Aulos I was reading the metaphors as literal, but in the next three parts, the the metaphors became abstract again. It made my head hurt, and I nearly have think of this fic as two instead of one.

That being said, I loved your prose. I'll probably have to read it at a more sane hour to properly get the nuances in it (It's nearly 3.40am right now), but you made it accessible enough for me to get most of it, which most people can't seem to do with prose.

I also just liked the story in general. My nit-picking was what I already mentioned, but I really, truly like this story overall, and think that the pros outweighed the cons. And anything that draws inspiration from GNeil gets kudos from me. XD

First of all, I'm so sorry about the headache. But oh! Okay, that's really interesting -- if I were to have drawn the line myself between the literal/abstract divide, I might have drawn it after "Lorelei" -- but close enough? The first half of writing felt literal to me as well, so.

GNeil can never have enough appreciation from any corner of any fandom that ever exists ;) Thank you for this lovely review!

Thank you so much! ♥ Almost that sort of out-of-body experience, in a way? Given that the chronology of events remains for the most part the same, I liked the idea of an internal point of reference that could be even more enmeshed than the ones that fanfiction usually touch on. :)

All I could really do in the end was exhale and then read it again. It's gorgeous and brilliant and aching, in a way, and it filled me so full of love for them and this that it felt like it was going to burst out of my chest. Incredible.

I was smiling while writing the Scarlett line ;) And "archetypes" is such an excellent motif to evoke. Thank you for your kind words, and major kudos for catching the typos! Fixed now.

(Also, italics on LJ are just plain HTML tags: insert text here, and remove that space between the "i" and the close bracket.)

... watch me fail at demonstration. Okay, let's try this again: replace the square brackets with < and >, and this portion of the text between the tags will become italicised.

I don't even know where to start. Really. I adore your fics because their different from all the others. They aren't described using verbal words or actions. They're written based on the feeling within the moment. When you feel that, yeah, this is all that matters right now. And I adore that.

The end. Oh gosh, the ending. It was positively RADIANT. I don't even know. There is NO dialogue yet you captured their thoughts and words so realistically. Gosh. I. Love. It. okay? :)

This is definetely one of those fics that you never forget.
