"It's getting a little cool out here. Keep warm. I don't want a bunch of sick crewmen when we get back to the ship. If we ever do get back." (Dr McCoy, Star Trek: 25th Anniversary). They did get back, of course. Say there weren't a bunch of sick crewmen, but one sick captain was bad enough. (Pneumonia, perhaps?) Also, sick captains come with hovering Vulcans.
"Jim, I'm detecting a slight strain on your pectoral muscles and your triceps. You didn't happen to do some rock climbing on your last shore leave after you fell, did you?" (Dr McCoy, Star Trek: Judgment Rites). Tell us the story of that fall. ;)

Spock finds the sight illogically adorable.
Jim is ill - the cold-flu-almost-cough-high-fever-just-too-far-beyond-general-misery-for-comfort kind of ill - and Bones would like nothing better than to take him off duty and lock him in his quarters (because even he isn't heartless enough to tie the man down in sickbay when he's feeling like this, thank you very much). Unfortunately the planet they're currently negotiating a treaty with flat-out refuses to talk if the Captain isn't present. This treaty is pretty damn important, Bones, so McCoy reluctantly medicates him and they beam down as scheduled. Cue the entire landing party (Bones, Spock, Uhura and whoever else you feel like) conspiring to do most of the talking and keep him hydrated and make sure he's warm enough and the headache isn't too bad, and just generally subtly mother-henning him through the entire thing. Jim is mildly amused, smothered in warm fuzzies, and, of course, a brilliant diplomat in spite of everything. Bonus for a) Bones dragging Chapel planetside just to keep an eye on Jim and/or b) any member of the
