I personally do not care for sports. Oh, why do people care so much for football? Why is there nothing else to talk about on fb?

I know, I know, y'all get excited about it. It makes me gag.

My opinion is that people like sports because watching them gives them someone/group to identify with and to "root" for. Much like American Idol is popular.

A close game can put people on the edge of their seats, or produce a rush of adrenaline which is also a chemical factor.

Oh, wait, this wasn't hypothetical, was it? :)

I'm not into sports either, least of all football.

heheheh. Although sports talk bothers me mightily, I am glad I don't get hassled when I hang out with cool people.
