Title: Bent Author: Concupid Pairing: Howard/Vince Rating: NC-17 Warnings: angst, Vince’s anger issues continue but no violence, graphic sex, language Summary: Howard and Vince have sex.
Well this just about destroyed me. Your ability to write sex that is realistic, awkward, a bit upsetting and at the same time heartbreakingly sweet and fulfilling is mind boggling. So well done. And the insight into Vince's preferences and how he really wanted to make Howard's time better than his own was so sad and beautiful. And how hard he's worked over the years to be what he thinks Howard wants. Ok, this chapter hit me pretty hard. But it was lovely. I'll send my interpretive dance review of it by post so you can truly understand how much love I have for this story.
I just read all these through, and I just. Wow. The concept and how it's playing out is just amazing (and kinda hot too). It has that weird realism in that just seems so right for them in this situation.
It wasn’t going to be as romantic as Howard wanted or deserved, but it would be better than that Vince was used to and that had to count for something. That line hurts so good! I think that sentiment definitely came across in the previous chapter, but it's another thing to hear it confirmed in Vince's thoughts. He has such an uneasy relationship with himself right now, but no matter how testosterone-addled (and consequently horny and self-absorbed) he might be at the moment, he's still Vince, and he's still going to do everything he can to make it the best it can be for Howard, to make it everything he's never had. And he'll still be worried, in the Vinciest parts of himself, that he's falling short and not performing as well as he should or could have, under other circumstances. He can scoff about how it's "just sex" all he wants, but that is definitely love
