"Well, you know how the Valentine's Day dance is soon? I was thinking maybe we could...go together?" He gave her a nervous smile. It was Katara's being from another time that worried him. She had liked him from when he was from, but he had no idea how she felt about him now. And that worried him. What if there was some really strong, really cool, really funny older cadet she liked instead of him? He was only in one of her classes -- it could happen.

"Really?" He was a little surprised -- that had gone better than he'd expected. As his own shock quickly disappeared, he broke into a grin. "Great! You'll have lots of fun, I promise!" Aang was looking forward to dancing with her again. The dance party in the Fire Nation was one of his favorite memories (because really, what was better than Katara and dancing?).
