And YES!!!! I agree with the badness of the Twilight fuckery (as you know already)
I read a terrible book, so bad that I refused to finish it (I only had 60 pages or so left, and I NEVER do that!) Joan Didion's A Year of Magical Thinking...it just bored me to death and I didn't care about any of the people in the book it was just awkward- I don't think there was enough established for me to 'feel' about the characters (but then again, I read it on a recommendation from a celeb, so there you go- it's my own fault LOL)
