You know, about halfway through this fic I had to make the really difficult decision of whether I wanted it to be slash or if I wanted to just leave it generic.
And I struggled with it, really I did, because in some ways it would have had so much to offer as a gen. fic, but then I ended up going with my instincts and making it Dean/Sam.
So to hear that you were able to enjoy it even though you don't particularly care for slash really means a lot. ♥
"How could Dean not be everyone’s world? Sam doesn’t understand how other people function without a protective, constant shadow. How can those people just forget the one person in the world that has single-handedly taught him everything he’s ever really needed to know? "
It speaks so strongly to Sam's co-dependence with Dean.
This was a little heartbreaking and made me feel so bad for Sam!
