I've been having one of those food thoughts that sounds alternately hilarious and delicious and terrible. What if one were to make macaroni and cheese - particularly, tiny-shells-and-cheese, of the non-baked-custard variety.
I dunno... I can't imagine that looking right, the tomato and the orangey cheese.
I'm not sure how Jen would let you mention macaroni and cheese, and tomato sauce, in the same dish. She's a purist about these things... I'm fearing her response to my messing with the innocence of the mac and cheese.
Oh, gods no, not with the orangey "cheese" product. But you could do a nice white cheese sauce for the little macs (the filling in the giant cheese in the picture looks likely), and that would go nicely with a tomato sauce...
