Jeff B. is visiting with his son, and I showed them how to make fizzy water last night, the climax of which was, of course, me shooting Jeff with the soda siphon from across the room. The 2-liter version has an 8-foot reach on it when fully charged.

And two nights ago I shot myself in the face with it.

BTW, I am *so* making this ginger vodka. The trial batch I made last winter was so good, that this new recipe promises to be even better.

The brown sugar makes it really rich and flavory. It was inspired by a ginger-molasses ice cream I had, and a lack of molasses in the house.

I once negotiated down from a threatened pie fight and wound up in a seltzer-bottle fight instead.

Good move - though one could always use the seltzer fight to clean up from the pie fight....
