I've been terribly remiss. The house is lookng pretty great, in some rooms at least, and I'm not taking pictures.

The living room is mostly complete - art is (almost all) up, books are shelved, all is well. We're hoping to get a real coffee table for the TV half of the living room. And then there's the curtains issue. And if I were over- ( Read more... )

Do you folks want a "loaner" coffee table for an indefinite period of time, possibly in perpetuity? We've got one hanging out in the "attic".

It's not the greatest - a little smallish and sort of two-leveled (it's got built-in, um, cabinets that open upward, on each end of the main surface, which means it sucks for board games but is good for storing remotes etc) - but it's serviceable. (R. really disliked it because of the aforementioned bad-for-board-games thing, so she insisted we get a new one soon after we started living together.)

Also, we're contemplating making a trip to Brimfield (antiques fair/flea market) over the summer, if the timing works; you'd be welcome to come along. While you're not likely to find incredible bargains on things like dining room sets, you would find a wide selection and at fair prices.

Possible. We're doing some Craiglisting to see if we can find a decent used Leksvik for a fair price. If that ends up fruitless, no reason we can't see what you got.

Antiquing might be fun, regardless of outcome. Let's talk.

The house looks great!

I've gotten a lot of quality furniture at auctions for very cheap. Look for estate sales and stuff.

The colors look great! Actually, so does everything. Wish we could see it (and you!) in person!
