I learned that our house is 11 meters above sea level.  This was definitely worth looking up, so that I could then use this lovely Norwegian scientific egg timer.

That's very cool, although it would be easier to use if the text weren't all in Norwegian. :)

Well, yes. Sorry.
The sliders are circumference (mm), doneness, starting temperature (fridge or countertop), and meters above sea level (it tells you the boiling temp of water as you slide it - cool!).
