House p.7 - the best room!

We come now to the shining jewel of home-décor - the back bedroom!
In one room, we have wallpaper that is simultaneously dark and loud and floral, we have wood paneling of the eco-friendly tree-free variety, we have old beat-up carpet, and we have adhesive black rubber baseboards. The shelves full of Elvis dolls can’t stay, unfortunately.

Email Nesko about the wallpaper and wall treatments. Neskob@gmail . com . He can give you guidelines and advice, including some faster and easier ways to remove the wallpaper in the first place.

One word of general paint stripper advice... if you use paint stripper on anything, be super careful of the gel stripper. Use safety goggles 100% of the time the lid isn't fully on the can. A friend of mine dropped a container of gel stripper and the stripper splashed up onto her face, in her eyes, on her chest, and on her head, neck, and back. She was blind for several days and barely managed to avoid major corneal damage, and has scarring where the gel got on her skin. It's a nasty chemical that causes SEVERE burns.

Ooh, if you get good wallpaper removal advice, can you forward it on? Our dining room's walls are... well, interesting. :-)

Fortunately, no paint stripper is in the cards. If it's painted we just paint over it. Paint stripper is kind of scary stuff. Thanks for the heads-up, though between you (paint stripper), my friends M&S (who pointed out the old lineoleum often has asbestos), and the internet (which pointed out that if there are layers of wallpaper then there are enough strata to be into lead-paint era), not to mention our known radioactivity, I'm starting to think it would be a better idea just to decide everything is perfect how it is, and maybe wear tyvek suits 24-7.

But yes, I'll send Nesko an email. Thanks for the offer of his expertise!
