I finally dumped photos from my camera, and uploaded a few of our sweet Contessa Kittenworth.  She's been a really warm presence this fall - we got a super-soft plushy red throw for the wedding, and I love it.  So does the cat.  I think it takes her back to her kitten days; she spends a lot of time kneading around and licking it.  It's kind of

Tim's got a super-soft plushy blue throw just like that - we call it the "mommy blanket" because Pumpkin licks and kneads it and takes all of her naps on it. I'm afraid to wash it because she's so clearly attached to it, but it's gotten gross enough that we don't use it for ourselves anymore. You can see who's not in control around here.

Contessa Kittenworth looks like she has firmly established divine authoritative magnificence in her realm.

I've got threads of red fluff stuck to every piece of clothing I own - every time she kneads on it, she pulls little tufts of blanket loose, and I think they stick between her toes so she can spread them all over the house. (Hmmm... the plant kingdom could learn from that - I'm imagining deep-jungle patches of catmoss, whose softness lures animals to stomp around in it...)
