portugal voted on new abortion laws yesterday

slightly under 60 % voted for a relexation of abortion laws in portugal. however, more than 50 % of registered voters would have to participate in portugal to make the ballot valid (turnout was appr. 44 %). apparently, josé socrates (prime minister) still wants ( Read more... )

... yes won with 59,25% of the votes...

and this morning an earth-quake was felt in Portugal... but only 6º
so... no damage...
but it's becoming more often last few years...

relaxation of abortion law followed by an earthquake....that's spooky. i asume there's no connection (a heavenly warning?).

personally, i've never experienced an earthquake (any strength) - i'm sure that would make me queasy. i'm glad everything is fine, though.

about the abortion, PM said the govern will change the law acording to the result!
