I was getting flack earlier today about killing my FB account. This news makes me happy that I did. That was one of my big complaints before - too much shit. Now there is more shit. Neat.
one thing i've noticed, is that myspace is based on next to no substance. Facebook as some substance ( and as of today, harder to use).
Livejournal still seems like the most substance, less junk platform out there. however, the userbase has declined alot with ppl who like bells/whistles.
I like MySpace for PR. I can keep videos, photos, and my performance schedule on there for fans and friends and as all the other dancers have a presence there its easy for us to communicate, even if it's a quick "hey, you were off the hook last night!"
FB has a terrible signal to noise ratio and the important shit seems to get lost in all the "I had lunch today!" crap.
Myspace will always (at least for now) be king in PR and marketing. That is about all it is good for, even if most of their userbase doesn't use myspace for anything besides band/concert/etc updates.
I like each spach for different reasons, but prefer LJ first, FB second, I rarely use Myspace anymore except band stuff, and I don't use my Twitter at all.

you enter your email/password, it looks at your email account and finds out what of your friends have lj accounts.
the problem with lj, is that most of the friends i had on LJ 2002 - 2004 never use or hardly use, lj anymore. they all jumped ship to fb and myspace.
