As far as I see this community isn't very active but I'm still going to ask you. I have to organise a computer-based video surveillance system. Thing is that I need to use multiple sources (cameras) with 20-30+ meters cables. I know for sure that my software Xeoma does support use of multiple sources but I'm not sure whether usb hubs and such long

Pretty sure you're not going to see signal degradation, and besides who says you have to run the cable to test it.

Plug in 30 meters of coiled up cable and see if the camera gives you anything, don't run it and then test it. Sit at your desk and plug in the cable and test it.

Pretty sure your signal is only going to have a problem at 100 meters plus.
