Question/Problem: I am trying to set up security on my wireless network. I am sorry about your trouble but Belkin has never made user friendly routers infact I have seeen more belkin routers that don't work than do. it sounds like your getting the router locked but the computers are unable to connect. here is what i would recommend.

Fist- Make sure your wireless channel is one of the fallowing (1 / 3 / 11) NOT AUTO --- then Try using the lowed security setting which is a WEP. If you are running xp sp3 this should not be an issue but there was a failed xp patch in previous versions that would not let xp connect to WPA or WPA2 locked routers.

Second - check the firmware version of the router the newest version is version: 4.00.05 this info will be located on the welcome page. if it is anything less vist belkin support and download the latest ver. or under Utilities firmware in the router see if it will check and install the newest version

let me know if you need more helphttp://en-us-

(I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I didn't get the notification until now.)

Thank you for your help, but I'm not sure how to change or even check the wireless channel? Can you tell me where to look?

I'm sorry for the further questions! I'm completely new to this and clueless, I'm afraid.
