Australian Internet Filter = EPIC FAIL!

The new government here in Australia, for those who missed it, are implementing an Internet filter with NO OPTION to opt out, to EVERY HOME, through the ISPs (!) and blocking anything it thinks is bad for kids.

How bad is this fucking insane idea?

Until recently our only flaw was no R rating for games.

Last I checked, America had a fucked up two-tier medical system, wars it can't finish off properly, and George Bush Jr as the worst President ever.

That would infuriate me. The internet does have filters to protect children. They are these big organic, semi-intelligent bi-pedal life forms called PARENTS! Yes! Amazing but true: people can actually turn it off if they so choose!

The lack of common sense boggles the mind sometimes. It happens all over so don't feel too badly.

It's moments like this that I see the usefulness of bringing up the legalities of "Freedom of speech". Sadly we have to sort this out WITHOUT a main historical document.

And yes. Parents: Tech will NOT do your job!(Yet.) XD
