Hello there

I'm an IT student (FCUL/UL), AI branch, from Portugal.
My main interests are artificial language/comunication, cooperative strategies and group behavior.
I mostly do agent based computing and I'm also a member of a portuguese Robocup rescue Team (5Rings).

I hope you find what you're looking for in this group. We are about to get under way with some discussion of the Linguistic Data Consortium (LDC) data, and I'll be posting papers from my machine learning course in the fall.

BTW, have you seen the Keep-Away Soccer Resource developed by one of my group's alumni, Dr. Steven M. Gustafson?

Also, will you be at IJCAI-2005 in Edinburgh?

Tks for the link :) I'll take a look, as for now it seems most interesting.
Unfortunately I won't be able to attend IJCAI 2005 :(
Even though I'm on a research group @ University, we don't get many support (so that you get an idea we almost had to beg to get computers on the lab - we also wanted to go to japan this year, for robocup, but our budget was cancelled), and I'm also trying to go solely freelance on a professional level, therefore I'm unable to support my trip there this year :-/

BTW... forgot to mention before... linux geek here ;)
