I really don't like this pairing, so I wasn't going to read it. But it was you, and the fact that I don't want to get out of bed yet, so...

I liked it xD It was really good, and I loved the way you portrait their relationship and the tension and the way Arthur's perception of Alfred changes through the story.

He's saying the opposite of what he wants. There's only one reason he visited Arthur and that was to see him. He obviously can't tell him this because that would be too easy for America~ He does want England, but he can't say it outloud and Arthur understands this.

I love England and America so this is amazing to me! You captured America and Enlgand's, father/son relationship so well! Just great it had me squealing so my sister thought I was crazy :)

I love writing them as father/son, that relationship never gets enough love, it's always a romantic relationship but really, they are amazing together just as father and son.

what an interesting little fic. Alfred was fucking terrifying but also sad and touching, like a child in the end. I felt for him, for his worries and terror and the responsibility he never asked to bear. Russia looms over the entire story, he has such a presence...and I really liked Arthur as well, the ambience, his thoughts and the things he says, about his ex colony, and that final moment of pride and love, and the way he lets his vulnerability show for a moment there. Beautiful fic, really ^^
