go see Striking 12 - a rewired version of The Little Match Girl

Tonight. I went to see Striking 12. It's GrooveLily's holiday show. A rewired version of Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Match Girl.

Tonight was the first dress rehearsal with an audience. It opens on Saturday, 1 Dec 2004. And goes until 2 Jan 2005. The show is being produced by TheatreWorks and performed at the Lucie Stern Theatre in Palo Alto. 1305 Middlefield Road, just "north" of Embarcadero.

It was quite enjoyable. Fun. It's half concert, half story, as they put it. So, it's not your typical musical. No other actors than the three members of the band. But, it's also one in that the story is told a bit in song.

I definitely recommend it. And, not just because I've seen the band play before nor because I know the stage manager. :) I only recommend things that I like. This was fun. I'll go see it again.
