[When Nina enters the smithy, Kadaj stiffens and his feather bristle. He hadn't expected someone to walk in on him as he searched for Souba (though now that someone had, he realized it should have been expected given his location). He glances behind himself just to catch sight of her before resuming his search for his missing blade.]

It's not the same shade nor the same style but for a moment all she can think of is wanting to lop the head off the boy- man- whatever in front of her. But that's rapidly repressed in favor of the logical answer here. Humans with that shade aren't entirely unheard of, and when you got to thinks like jarokians... heh. The sheer number of humans or human lookalikes she saw outside were getting to her. She'd feel better when she found her Voidblade.

So the result is she glared daggers at Kadaj for a half-second before, now in a twenty-something body as compared to the teen one she was walking around with outside, she's going to check out the wall opposite him. ...Ideally, it'll be here somewhere, but hey, she's not opposed to jumping the counter either]

[Kadaj keeps to himself as he searches, though more on edge, and he glances over at her every few minutes. While glancing at her, he notices Souba carefully sheathed on the counter next to her. He lets out a quiet chuckle before taking a few, quick strides over.]

It seems I worried needlessly. [that some disgusting human picked it up. He really would have hated invading each home until he found it, though the enjoyment he would get from taking care of the thief would have undoubtedly made it worth it. Ah, well.]

[Out of the corner of her eye, she spies the guy walking over. And then he speaks up. Arrogant little boy, that's really not something you should be doing before you've armed yourself. Before (or perhaps as) he goes to grab the sheathed sword, her arm is shooting out and grabbing onto it herself. This is half out of spite and half out of a desire to be armed before this person is.

Intuition tells her this is just probably a good idea]

[Kadaj hadn't expected that. He clenches his teeth as he pulls his hand back, even going as far as to let out an angry hiss. That was his sword, his sword; it was the very one he materialized with, and he wasn't going to let some stupid human play with it.]

I suggest you put my sword down. [There's a threat layered beneath his words, one that promises something horrible if she doesn't comply.]

Think I'll pass. [And... okay, she's going to start to lift this off the counter now. Hm. Balanced? Yeah. But it's just a damn sword; it should have nothing on her Voidblade once she finds the thing. He keeps Kadaj in the corner of her eye, but she doesn't actually look at him. Too busy scanning the wall for her weapon and all]

[Kadaj isn't about to take an answer like that, and the moment those words pass her lips, he reaches out to grab her roughly by the arm; it was more about intimidation than causing actual pain, at least at the moment.]

She drops his sword (to have it fall to the ground) in the same moment that her arm shoots out to grab a black-onyx looking dagger off the wall]
