When I first got into fandom, I really couldn’t imagine being into more than one fandom at a time. It felt all-consuming, and huge, and sort of took over my whole life. And then I got into my second fandom, and I don’t even remember how that happened, but again, I was immersed in it. And now I find myself reading fic in about five or so different

Well, for a new fandom - have you seen Sherlock Holmes? Because that's my newest obsession.

I've been meaning to watch Criminal Minds, because I find serial killers kind of fascinating, but I just can't seem to find the time. Which is the same way I feel about Generation Kill - I REALLY want to see it, but I just don't have the time. Nor do I have any idea how to get it.

Oh, you so should, it is totally fascinating! Have you check a local video shop? I rent out all my tv shows, then if I rally like them enough to watch again, I'll buy it. [They have video/dvd shops in Canada, right? I'm just assuming they're all over. /o\]

You most definitely should. The fandom reaction has been pretty unbelievable.

Totally fascinating, huh? See, I really like war films/books/TV shows, too, and the exploration of a very close-knit group of people, so I pretty much know I'm going to like it...perhaps I just need to be a bit more proactive. (There are indeed video stores...but the one we used to use has burned down, so we need to find somewhere new.)

That'd be awesome! :D It's seems odd that I do read a lot of mentions of CM, but apparently it's just not inspiring fic for some reason.
