Purple isn't a terribly common color for butterflies

Euploea Eunice hobsoni Has a purple irridescent tinge to its forewings. Native to Taiwan

Limenitis arthemis are more blue looking and only seem purple in certain light. They live in the Southeast US. More here on Red-Spotted Purple Butterflies

Graphium weiskei from Australia/Indomalaysia is known as the Purple-spotted Swallowtail but it only has purple spots. More here on Purple Spotted Swallowtails.

Atlides halesus corcorani is actually more irridescent blue than purple which is common for more blue butterflies with a blue irridescent quality. At the right angle, they sometimes appear purplish. More of Great Purple Hairstreak

Hope this helps :)

I hope that the game is the most interesting part of the next 24 hrs. Please remember if a 'caine reaches that magical Cat. 3 you are more than welcome up here in A town ... as a bonus there is always Saphire here. BTW. what the heck is Crist thinking, of course Floridians aren't really worrying about this one. Why should they get caught up in traffic that allows them to go only 30 miles in 12 hrs and sit out the 'caine on I-95, 75 or 10? Doesn't he realise that eveacuation doesn't begin until TWC says Cat. 3 and Jim Cantory shows up asking how to get to the beach ....

Thanks for the invite but I'm not thinking this one is gonna blow up so big. Also, Fay is now angling for Port Charlotte... taking the Charlie track. Thus Tampa should get a touch of rain and bluster and not a whole lot of anything else.

I finally have this amazing yard to go with my apt, and have talked my landlord into trying a butterfly garden.

Cold you help me with this? I realize its probably too late for this year, but the more info I have, the better the agreement from the landlord.

Names of Books, fliers, vast amounts of your knowledge would truly be a blessing!Specificaly in Jacksonville, downtown near river, lots of bushes and wonderful yards for them to play in.

Send me an email if you get a chance!
Thanks
