yeah, I'm happy that Donald is doing such great stuff. Just sad that it can't include Community :/ But you're right, I should wish him the best for the future and also that his appearances is season 5 include some awesome adventures and a lot of Abed.
Donald is very talented, and he is one key element in the success of Community. Only 5 episodes is not enough, I think, for Troy's story with the study group, let alone with Abed, to be completed.
Very sad as a Community fan with this news, I was really hoping for #sixseasonsandamovie with all of them (minus Pierce) even with 3 last seasons of only 13 episodes each, oh well.
I just don't want his story with the study group to be completed, at all. I'd rather have a whole punch of episodes where Troy's hiking in Canada and emailing Abed over a patchy network, hackneyed as that is, than have some big storyline about how he's a grown-up now and will go forge his own future somewhere and leave his friends forever. I would have such a screaming tantrum over that, mostly because I don't want him to leave, but also because that's ALSO hackneyed and cheap. I would rather have the show end with all of them still together, still friends. And Abed really doesn't need another important person in his life leaving him.
(Hi, delurked for a moment there because MY EMOTIONS.)
Gutted by this news. Glover's comedic timing has been consistently on point throughout all four seasons, and a top reason that I love the show so much.
