I got my days/dates mixed around and totally thought we had another day. Alas, sad face.

This was great fun! I haven't archived mine to AO3 yet, but I would absolutely be down for a collection of all of them.

Oh, no! That's too bad. :( Even running it, I couldn't get all of mine done in time. So close, too. But I'm glad you had fun!

I will let you know if I create a collection for it. I'd like to get a couple more yes votes first. :)

So did I. Still impressed with how close I got.

It took forever to organize, but I really felt like they'll get more exposure this way, especially some fills which were buried at the end of the page.

Yes, if you have titles, I will change them here!

I'm glad the time worked for you. I picked it because it seemed to be the most likely all-over-the-world end date.

I will fix that one, thanks for pointing it out!

NP, I wanted to give all the fills a little extra exposure. :)

I'm slow, too! I tried my best to finish, but alas, juuuuuust missed it. Feel free to keep filling the ones you didn't get to, though, and pimp them in a separate entry on the comm if you wish. ♥

Wow. I never win anything. I'm a little in shock.

This battle was a lot of fun. And thank you so much for laying out all of the fics like this. It makes it a lot easier to go back and read them later. Thank you for the banner, too.

I loved that the battle was a week long. It was the only reason I was able to finish! I think it went very well and I hoped people really enjoyed it. I did notice that a few people did want to participate as authors after the fact. Is there a way that maybe there could be a "just for fun" battle in another community post for those authors? I know this option might be a bit more work, but I want to give those authors a chance to play without depriving those competing of prompts.

I keep hearing about AO3, but I know nothing about it, so I can't really form an opinion about a collection there. Can someone briefly break down what AO3 is and how it works?

Archive Of Our Own (AO3)'s basically a multi-fandom fiction archive; sort of like fanfiction.net but (in my mind at least) a bit more user-friendly and easy to access -- you don't have to load documents or process things or anything like that, you can basically just copy-paste your work in and hit 'post' and it's up. There's also facilities for archiving work from challenges, a fairly extensive list of tags that can be used (at least in theory -- I think they've been having trouble with downtimes recently so have disabled some of the tag functions), and so on ( ... )

Congrats to you! You really wrote a ton in such a short time, kudos!

I'm glad the time frame worked for you. I know I would never have finished as many as I did without that extra time. I'm slow.

We did let one person participate just for fun on the battle, so people could have... but there is also going to be a traditional comment fic meme mid-July, and a kink meme in August. There will be more opportunities!

palgrave_golden explained AO3 well, so I second what she says. It's taken a while to really get going, but I find a lot of the newer fandoms are flourishing there now. I also have an invite if you PM me your email address.

Just wanted to echo that I thought everything went very well, I had a lot of fun and loved the fics that were coming up! I particularly appreciated the week's grace to fill the prompts, as on top of my already alarming tendency to completely fail to know when to stop until I've got a something a few thousand words long, this week's been a particularly busy and chaotic one, so it was nice to have a bit of breathing time to get things done.

I've already posted a few of my works to AO3, so I wouldn't object to a collections archive going up there as well.

I was glad I settled on a week, too - I could never have gotten more than a few done. I know that there were a few that stumped me as far as length - I had to really think about how to fill a prompt with a 300-700 word length instead of 1000-2000 (my usual).

As far as AO3, I'll let you know if I put up a collection - I'd like a few more yes votes first. :)
