Were you surprised that Officer Cackowski knew about Inspector Spacetime?
I feel Officer Cackowski probably knows a little bit about everything. Including Coperas.
Was Inspector Spacetime a necessary element for Abed to pursue his theory about the Dean? Do you think another character roleplay would have been as effective?
Inspector Spacetime got a little tired for me by the end of the season (since I'm not a Dr. Who fan), so I could take it or leave it. That said, I'm a sucker for continuity, so why not?
Character study:
What was the purpose of sending Abed to Dr. Heidi? If anyone besides Abed had been snooping around, would Fake Dean have done the same thing?
If they could draw suspicious about Abed's mental state than it would be easier to keep people off Chang's trail, so that made sense. With someone else it would have been more difficult, but I'm sure the insanity case could be made for any one of them.
Did the episode reveal anything new about the characters? Would you say that the memories

Police-ical! ... Copera? Honestly, I love Cackowski. He's playing the straight man but with these little amusing idiosyncrasies.
I want to give Dan, the writing team and Danny a huge hug and a million Emmy's for the way they depicted Abed this year.
Yep, did you see that retweet from Dan about the girl who identified with Abed? Surely Dan identifying with Abed has a hand in the success of writing Abed, but it still could've gone the other way, and Dan and the writers deserve credit. Danny is just outstanding in playing Abed.
Were you surprised that Officer Cackowski knew about Inspector Spacetime? Nah, he's cool enough to be into it.

I reckon this answers itself, lol, but yeah, I think Chang didn't think his bluff would be called? Did the episode reveal anything new about the characters? Would you say that the memories pulled up in this episode reflects the extent of influence Greendale had in their lives? IT's fun to see how often they're there. You feel like it's only when we see them there is when they go, but they spend a lot of time together. :D Which was your favorite memory? Sorry, the question was two-fold: >Did having the Inspector Spacetime persona provide Abed with the proper context in assessing the situation, and then allow Abed the excuse of conducting his own investigation? Remember that he was the only one who claimed there was a Fake Dean. >If Abed did not have Inspector Spacetime, would he have chosen another cop character, or some other character altogether, to roleplay in order to get to the bottom of the mystery? Would he have done anything at all?
I like that this was a "Us against Them" mentality, whereas last season was an "against Each Other" theme.Yes, this being more a plot-driven episode than a character-driven episode helps distinguish it from Paradigms. This episode makes the clip show format hardly noticeable, as we are pushed forward into the story, always asking, "

Were you surprised that Officer Cackowski knew about Inspector Spacetime? Officer Cackowski is always so delightfully random, nothing about him throws me. I don't think it was necessary, but it does make sense that Abed sort of retreated even further into the world of IS after explusion.

I think maybe Fake Dean would've done the same thing with any other member of the Greendale Seven, but if it were someone like Leonard or Magnitude he probably wouldn't care.
