no more Dan Harmon

So according to the A.V. Club, Dan Harmon will not be returning as showrunner for Community's fourth season. David Guarascio and Moses Port, of Happy Endings and Aliens in America, will be taking the helm in his irreplaceable place.

#darkesttimeline should be trending, y/y?

Dan Harmon actually is trending.

I am stupidly upset about this. Regardless of the reasons why, regardless of the way it was handled, regardless of what the show's going to be like next season, I'm just really, really sad about what is almost certainly the end, in one way or another, of this show that I love.

I'm still hoping he can stay on in some capacity as a head writer or something. I've actually wondered if this was going to happen at some point because he's so notoriously hard to work with. His long hours with almost the entire writing staff changing from year to year, his admitted temper tantrums, etc. I mean, something must have gone down somewhere if Neil, Garrett and Dan are all leaving.

They're saying he's a consulting producer now.

I guess I mean I hope he's involved in a more direct capacity, but it doesn't seem like that's going to happen.

ERRRGH! I'm so angry! Angry at NBC, angry at everything. I mean, I know there's a chance that this can work out ok, that the show will end up really good still, but I feel like NBC is doing everything to get it to fail without actually cancelling it so they won't seem like the bad guys.
