An April Fool to Remember

Mar 31, 2007 17:49

Seems like Loki has targeted us as his victims for this year's April Fool trick, and the boundry between universes has melted away! We discover how life may have been if things had been different; we see other versions of ourselves; we meet people we never thought we'd actually get to chat with ;)

communiquills and hex_files are all mixed together! Have at it ( Read more... )

*sighs and settles into a chair on the outskirts of the room*
I suppose someone has to be responsible and keep an eye out on Weasley at least, as this probably his fault. Or- Potter and Black. Or Merlin help us all if they're working together.

*crosses her legs, showing a flash of tall black leather boots then opens a small metal cigarette case and slips the black clove cigarette into her mouth*
*raises an eyebrow at the room, waiting to see if someone will offer her a light*

I make a point to have good guesses.
*laughs softly at his teasing*
I would say Hit Wizard then. The Unspeakables always seem quite keen on saying that they're Unspeakables. A wee bit of irony there.

*follows his gaze then nods*
He is. Or are you using flamboyant in place of gay?

*slow smile*
Aye. Very tall boots.

*loves*

Apparently.
*smile sticks*
If only someone would mention that to them. Yes, I am a Hit Wizard. And damned proficient at it.

*watches Sirius, finishing his cigarette*
I wasn't actually, but he is queer, yes?

*grins, amused, shaking his head*
*stubs out his cigarette and pulls out his own pack to light another*

I have. I don't think they understand the more blatant points of irony.
*nods*
I would expect nothing else.

*cheeks colour lightly*
He is. But not entirely. And decidedly less flamboyant when he is older. That is him merely being- well, him as a teenager.

*finishes her cigarette much slower, smiling at him*

*quiet laugh*
Perhaps not. Do you think it had something to do with the job?

*nods, still watching him absently*
*small smile*
Then I'm clearly very different from the Sirius you know.

*meets her gaze, holding his cigarette between his teeth as he lights it*

Aye, I'd expect as much. They probably must prove in triplicate that they do not understand such things.

*smiles*
And I'm probably quite different from the Minerva you know. But you are very different than he, I'm certain. He's a good man though.

*cheeky grin*
See, Professor, that was your problem back then. You never suspected poor Lupin much for mischief-creating, did you?

*chuckles*
Perhaps not nearly as much as I should have, but I think the blame for that can be placed on your compatriots.

*taps nose*
All part of the plan, you see. When those two were in detention, I actually got my homework done and maybe another prank or two conceived.

*smiles in amusement*
And you're feeling confessional today, Remus? Shall I expect to know of knicker-theiving by you next?

synodic_pup April 1 2007, 04:37:16 UTC
*stands up straight and proper*
No, I was never really very interested in swiping knickers. Though I don't suppose that comes as a grand confession to you now, does it?

*face goes blank in memory, and then he grins quite widely*
Though there was that one incident with all fresh towels in the boys' locker after that Gryffindor-Ravenclaw match my fifth year...I may have something to confess about that...

*affects a look of shock*
You weren't? No knickers swiping at all? Now why would that have been?

*laughs*
Now that sort of trick does sound considerably more to your taste.

*voice grave*
Can't imagine why, honestly. Left my mates quite puzzled to be sure.

*laughs with her, a light blush on his cheeks*
Actually, I think that was the only one that was entirely mine. Didn't tell anyone, not until years later, and then I only told...well. You know.

*swallows and quickly changes the subject*

So! Interesting little to-do we have here, don't we?

All of them, no doubt. *tsks* Such an inscrutable lad.

*eyebrow raises*
Oh was it? Motivated by what exactly, Remus?

*sobers as he does, glancing away even as one hand twists in the fabric of her robes*
*nods, a triffle absently*
Yes. Quite interesting.

*stares down at her hand*
Blast, Lupin. Did you have to go and make age?

synodic_pup April 1 2007, 14:20:25 UTC
Indeed. They never learned any of my secrets. *sighs a bit dramatically*

*smirks*
Come now, Minerva. You played Quidditch with young men. I'm sure you can easily figure out my motivations.

Hmm. *scratches at his chin*

*looks down at her hand*
I...I'm sorry?

*eyebrows raise delicately*
You had other secrets? No one tells me anything at all.

*gives him a pointed look*
You enjoy mud?
*grimaces a bit remembering the Great Mud Incident then she smirks a bit*
Or do you only admit such things to parents?

*lets out a long sigh, settling fully into her seventy year old body*
*scowls down at her boots then taps them to transfigure them into more serviceable shoes*
As you should be.
