It's really weird.

Yes, we were friends.
But we were never close friends.
We had a class together in high school, sat next to each other, bonded.  Joked and enjoyed each other's company.  Hung out a little bit outside of class.
But then it was over.
Not our friendship, not completely.  But when the class ended, we didn't see much of each other anymore.

I didn't know him very much at all, we maybe spoke a handful of times, I think we had class together or it was through someone in the circle in the morning. But he was a great guy, from what I knew of him and it's shame that something so sad and tragic like that would happen to a good person.
If you need to talk any, I know what you're going through, it was the same situation when Josh Shipman committed suicide, he and I were very close in middle school and I spoke to him all the time but we fell out of touch for around 2 years and I just sort of felt...empty, when I found out. It's hard to understand, I know, it's like you feel like you had so much time you could've spent together and you didn't and in Josh's case I felt like if I had kept in touch maybe I could have helped.
But anyways, really, I'm here if you need me.
