Don't forget that the Western news sources such as CNN and CBS both try to put forth opinions in a equal oppurtunity basis. Many want to show the French side as well as other nations to give a "fair" report on the state of the war. While al Jazeerah is only showing what Saddam wants them to show.

On a side note, the al Jazeerah website has been under constant web hack since the begining of the "War".

The hackers against the al Jazeera website are morons. Let the opinion be known. The Arab site is still up, so the only information not being disseminated is to the west. We can see how one sided they are in that case. Oh well.

you may be surprised to know that i agree with you. i don't consider it a shock that the arab news is one-sided. what do you expect? what would CNN *really* look like if people were invading our country?

I don't expect anything different from the Iraqi press. Even if they weren't state run under a dictatorship, they would probably be totally one sided. The rest of the Arab media outlets are in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt and many other Arab countries. They have no such excuse. We aren't invading Arab land. We are freeing Iraq. There is a big difference. Unfortunately the West's track record in this area has not been good until up about ten years ago, and still remains abysmal in Israel. The socialist press has also been reporting with the same one sided spin of the Arab press. They have no excuse except opportunistic political propagandizing.
