What an excellent plan. I always found holidays in Greece were a good time to do that, but everywhere's got wifi now and the temptation's too great - I used to get through a book a day but only did one when I was in Rhodes last week.

I used to devour books before the age of internet. But it's not only that I want - I need a break so I can keep my R.S.I. under control! It's going to be a bit like a silent retreat I'm guessing, though there's always the radio...

It is nice to be out of the grid from time to time.
I do it every summer when I visit my mother in Vigo. No internet means much more time to myself, oddly enough…
I wonder how much of the time we spend in the web is really useful time…

I'm looking forward to it. I probably need to take breaks more often - I use the computer and mobile phones far too often.

Will report back in a week! ;-)

That sounds rather blissful; enjoy!
But before you go off the grid, I'll be in the UK for a week from next Thursday; hoping you'll be around?

I'm pretty sure we'll be! I'll message you my mobile number - drop me a text when you are here (or do you still have the same mobile?) so we can chat/plan. I'm hoping to visit Oxford (for the first time!) and if you're free I'd love to catch up with you there.
